Richard C. Putz

Richard Putz is an executive level, hands-on advisor to many global 2000 companies and entrepreneurs.  Richard provides insights into the working know-how of corporate governance, Sarbanes-Oxley, the Patriot Act and Basel II in Europe.  He is a noted expert on entrepreneur finance and business ethics. Richard has served as both the CFO and Chief Strategy Officer of C-bridge, a publicly traded software/consulting firm based in Cambridge MA. Richard has collaborated with Dr. Badaracco of Harvard University on a seminar and workshop called Managers leading quietly.  Based on Dr. Badaracco book “Leading Quietly”.  He was the CEO of Security Federal Bank & Trust an innovative and leading regional bank in the Midwest that grew to national prominence in the mortgage arena by capitalizing on technology and process innovation creating a totally Customer Centric Bank. The bank became known as the “personal banking and “trusted advisor” of middle market America”.  He is also a Venture Partner with the Center 4 Innovation in Chicago and an advisor to Evoda Ventures of Boston, both venture capital firms specializing in specific technology markets, including e-commerce, internet, enterprise software, networking and semiconductors, providing market strategy advice to their high-tech portfolio companies.  Richard has served as Vice President and Director of Strategy & Organizational consulting within the Industry practice of Oracle Corp. He was a Partner/Senior Manager at Coopers & Lybrand and Laventhol & Horwath, while at Coopers & Lybrand he was the Director for Technology Advisory Services focusing on financial institutions.  He has owned and started several businesses in a variety of areas such as printing, advertising, steel service center, machine shops and automobile dealerships. All have been successful and are still strong going concerns even though Richard sold his interest based on the proper exit strategy laid out when he became involved in the business. He teaches part time at Purdue University Calumet in the Entrepreneurial Leadership Program and collaborates with Dr. Van Oyen on the development of courses that incorporates the Root Cause Analysis body of knowledge with Workforce development.  Richard sits on the strategy board of St. Margaret Mercy Hospital and is a board member of the CDP in Chicago (An international non denomination strategy firm focusing on the world’s major religions).  His most recent book is entitled “The Uncorrupted Stock Picker” published by North River Press in MA.
